Progressive relaxation track focusing on connecting sensation of various body parts. The purpose of a body scan is to clarify the body map. The goal is to notice your body, not to change it right now. This tracks helps patients to visualize all the different parts of their body and to notice feelings associated with these areas. This exercise is designed to help the patient become more aware of their body and how to pay attention to the signals the their body is giving them. Imagery and relaxation help to reduce the amount of tension and pain the patient is experiencing by gradually attuning them to their own body.
